Extensive Landscaping & Artificial Grass Installation in Essex

This project was one of the largest Easigrass Essex & Hertfordshire have ever undertaken, involving extensive hard landscaping as well as the fitting of 282 m² of Belgravia to a back garden.

The hardscaping included the fitting of 135 linear metres of upright sleepers, all at the same height and level, throughout the length of the garden to create upper and lower areas.

The sleepers were arranged to create sweeping curves, mirroring the garden’s flower beds.

The retaining sleeper wall also included two step areas – one with two and one with three steps – with artificial grass fitted to the steps.

The hard landscaping work continued with the fitting of 59 linear metres of curved aluminium edging. This was used along the border of the lawn area to maintain clean contours and separate the grass from the flower bed areas.

The preparation of the garden involved 58 tonnes of aggregates for the base level, used to achieve smooth level ground on both the upper and lower areas of the garden.

When fitting the Belgravia artificial grass, the team also neatly worked around a large oak tree which was a lovely feature of the space.

Easigrass Essex & Hertfordshire worked in two teams for this large project – one was responsible for all the hard landscaping work, and the other for all the levelling and grass fitting work – with David Christie project managing.

The project took 7 full days to complete but it was worth every day in the cold wet weather we had over the course of the week! It truly was a team effort to create this beautiful looking garden transformation, which the client was very pleased with.
